Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Glaze (“Glaze”, “we”, “us”) and govern your access to and use of the Glaze mobile app, website at glaze.app, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. What Glaze is
Glaze is a technology platform that lets customers (“Customers”) discover and book appointments with independent beauty and grooming professionals — including in nails, hair, skin, makeup, and related categories — and studios (collectively, “Professionals”). Professionals are independent third parties; they are not employees, agents, or partners of Glaze. Glaze does not itself provide beauty, grooming, or wellness services. The contract for any service performed is between the Customer and the Professional.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under Indian law to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us immediately at help@glaze.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Bookings, payments & cancellations
- Booking. When you book a service, you make an offer to the Professional. A booking is confirmed once the Professional accepts it through the Service. Prices and service details are set by the Professional.
- Payment.Payments are processed through third-party payment providers (e.g. Razorpay). By making a payment, you agree to the provider’s terms. Glaze may charge a platform or convenience fee, which will be disclosed before payment.
- Cancellations. You may cancel a booking through the Service. Cancellation fees, if any, will be disclosed before confirmation and depend on how close to the appointment the cancellation is made.
- No-shows. If you do not show up for a confirmed booking, the full booking amount (or such portion as disclosed) may be retained.
- Refunds. Refund eligibility is determined by the specific cancellation policy that applied to your booking. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and may take several business days to reflect.
4. Your conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any Professional, Customer, or Glaze staff.
- Make fake bookings, manipulate ratings or reviews, or impersonate another person.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying systems.
- Upload content that infringes the rights of others or is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Contact other users for any purpose other than completing or discussing a booking made through the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Professional-specific terms
If you register as a Professional, you additionally agree that:
- You operate independently and are solely responsible for the services you provide, including hygiene, safety, qualifications, tax compliance, and any required licences or registrations under applicable health, cosmetology, and consumer protection laws.
- Content you publish (portfolio photos, descriptions, pricing) is accurate, not misleading, and yours to publish or appropriately licensed.
- You will honour confirmed bookings and communicate professionally with Customers.
- You authorise Glaze to collect payments from Customers on your behalf and to remit the balance, net of fees and applicable taxes, to your nominated account.
6. Content & intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you upload to the Service. By uploading, you grant Glaze a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and adapt that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Service. The Glaze name, logo, designs, and software are owned by Glaze and may not be used without our prior written permission.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glaze disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Glaze does not warrant the quality, safety, or legality of any service performed by a Professional, the accuracy of listings, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glaze and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Glaze’s aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to Glaze in the six months preceding the claim, or (b) INR 5,000.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Glaze harmless from any claim, liability, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
10. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if necessary to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.
